Cervix Shortening

Despite my bed rest and on top of everything else, a nurse from my Dr.'s office called today and said that they found something ELSE on the ultrasound that they needed to talk to me about when I go in on Wednesday, and that they will need another ultrasound for. When I got my ultrasound last Wed I was exactly 20 weeks along by my cervix has already shortened to 2.9. It should be between 4 and 4.5 right now, especially with me being on bed rest. The lowest they would consider normal at 20 weeks is 4. So........ she said we would need to discuss what else I can do to prevent preterm labor. I jokingly said, "well at this point the only thing left is for me to just stay in the hospital ha ha ha". Then she said "Honestly if things don't get better that might be what Dr. Slack decides to do."
