My hands and feet were still super swollen. I had my bp taken at work. It was 136/106. My ob had me come in this afternoon and it was even higher. It's now 146/126. I have protein in my urine. This weekend I have to collect a 24 hr urine and have to have a full work up for pre eclampsia.
Any advice? Anyone been thru this? I'm so nervous.

Thanks!

I went through the same thing with carsyn and think I am now as well. I've been super swollen past two days and light headed, dizzy and super migraines =[ with carsyn I was able to keep him in the forty weeks. I'm scared this won't happen with this baby. The 24 hour urine is a pain. You have to catch EVERY drop off pee and keep it cold. The orange jug they gave me looked so gross in my fridge lol. But honestly I would rather have it all done and be safer then sorry.

Oh Kathryne I am so sorry! I never had it this early so I dunno how they would handle it for the 2nd trimester. But I remember I had to go on bed rest to keep my BP down. With my sister they delivered her at 31 weeks to save both her and baby's life. That is super rare. I was one extreme (barely pre-eclamptic) and she was the other (severe). I am sure your doctor will have a solution for this. Hang in there!

I was worried when you said your hands were swollen! I had pre-e with our 2nd. 24hr catches are no fun... but you'll get through it.

There are lots of meds you can be put on for your blood pressure to keep it in check and for us bed rest really worked and we made it to 37 weeks exactly! We also had extra monitoring ( bi weekly NSTs) of baby to ensure my BP wasn't effecting baby.

Hopefully none of this will apply though and your BP will go back in check!
