Had my regular OB visit today. I had told her that I fell down the stairs last night. (in my office there are five doctors who rotate through) and she pretty much said that we could do an ultrasound to check on that and spotting but at 17 weeks is was pointless? Which kind of aggravated me. The babies heartbeat was all good at 150ish she said. Boo I was hoping it would stay high and would be a girl. Little one kept moving around on her which was funny to me haha. Now I guess it's just the waiting game. My gender scan is two weeks from today,

My sister fell at 18 weeks (last week) and was told the same thing.

Aww I am sorry you did not get the ultrasound.. and SO sorry you fell down the stairs! I did a major tumble down an entire flight of stairs during my 2nd pregnancy... it is amazing I did not break my neck. I fell pretty hard too but my son was ok. They def did an ultrasound though, and found some bleeding in my uterus and kept me off my feet the last month. So it seems like your doc should be checking on stuff like that. :-/

I know exactly what you mean! I will go anytime I feel my baby's health is being threatened so I completely get that. :-) Take care of you!

All my girls were in the 150s!
I totally bit it down our hardwood stairs when pregnant with Brie. I hit my back so hard I couldnt move off the stairs for about an hour, and then I had to crawl to the couch. The only one home with me was my oldest! It was awful and scary and I thought for sure I'd killed the baby, but the drs said the same thing...no bleeding, no worries.

I hope you're feeling better after your fall! Don't worry, you could still have a girl. The heart rate thing is a myth.
