My last pregnancy ended at 22 weeks due to cervical issues/infection. So this pregnancy, my Dr. wanted to monitor me with weekly us's from 16-24 weeks. Last week as exciting, finding out we have a little boy. This week was very different. My Dr noticed that my cervix looked like it was funneling a little. So I went to the perinatologist for a second opinion and at first she wasn't too concerned but wanted to do another u/s on Monday. After we got to talking for a bit, she asked me if I would allow her to do a internal check so she could feel - I sure am glad I did because she found that I was almost 2cm dialated and lost most of my cervical mucus too. So I went in a had a stitch put in. I had some bleeding so they kept me overnight for onservation and was released today. I am so thankful to be with you ladies today but could you say a prayer for me that after this procedure and a week on bed rest that my cervix holds strong and that I carry our son, Will full term? Thank you so much for all of your support ladies!
