Went to the ER

Last night, I started bleeding. I lost a lot of blood and passed some massive clots too. My DH brought me to the ER. They did a pelvic exam – cervix was pretty much full closed but a small finger tip which is normal or so they said if you’ve delivered other babies. They did an US – the baby’s HB was checked 3 times over 15 minutes 163 bpm each time – we have a beautiful baby measuring at 12w4d (so it made up those days we lost in the beginning, thinking implantation took longer). They checked my levels which I will have retested in 48 hours and lastly, I brought the clots in (I know gross...) and they are sending them off for additional testing to make sure there was no tissue (I didn’t want to know or ask what it means if there was tissue…), tests will take a couple of weeks.

After my transvag us I had bleeding that sounds similar to that. It was because I have a polyp and the wand irritated it. I wouldn't worry yourself, it'll drive you crazy. I would definitely f/u with your Ob though.

Thanks ladies. It's nice to have some ladies praying for me. I have Friday and Monday off. I plan to do literally nothing except go for my 2nd blood draw and my NT scan tomorrow. I can't wait to see my little one again.

In the ER just said it was anterior. But I went in for my NT scan 2 days later and they said it was kind of low (which is normal this early...?) which may have caused the bleeding. They ordered pelvic rest until my next US at 16 weeks. I am a lucky mommy, I will get to see my LO a lot because I am high risk.

Sounds scarey! I'm glad to hear everything is looking OK and I hope you don't get any more scares like that.
It is normal for the placenta to be low early on - mine was low at my 20 week scan with my last pregnancy so I had done quite a bit of research on it. By 28 weeks it was up higher which is the most common scenario.
