BTDT MOMS Lazy utuerus?

I am pregnant with baby #5 and our first boy. The whole pregnancy has been different. I figure mostly becuase I am over 40,work full time, etc etc.
Myvquestion is this, usually by this stage in pregnancy I am feeling loads more practice contractions. I have had a nagging fear that my old womb is tired and will not work right. Some well meaning old lady told me story about het daughter or something. Is there any truth to this? Do older moms have lazy utureuses?

I'm not having too many braxton hicks either. I doubt your uterus has forgotten what to do! Even over 40, you are on child number 5... I bet he's just not ready to come and all will be ok! I don't know how you are doing it though.. I'm 35 and working on my feet with baby number 3.. I have no energy! I can't imagine doing this over 40.. yet I'm sad that DH wants this to be the last. ]
