Can't tell up/down

I feel like I should be better at this as BTDT MOM but I can never tell for sure if lil bit is heads up or down. All of my kids turned head down early but I was never sure. How come so many here feel so sure?

I KNOW Tank is heads down. Ive been gettin kicks right under my ribs and breasts and just weird movement down in my crotch lol. And it was comfirmed by my last U/S 2 weeks ago. and I can tell where his butt is too :-D He'll prolly remain heads down till delivery time

I could tell with mine because you can feel the difference between a bum (softer) and a head (harder) sticking out just under my ribs. Also, the feel of a kick is a little different than a nudge or elbow so I can tell where the feet are, but that doesn't mean they are not contortionists and are bent in half.lol

I can tell b/c when he is head up he kicks me right in the cervix and yowzer it hurts. Also, my belly looks much bigger when he is breech.

Oh and I meant to say he is still pretty actively moving. He was head down up until 2 days ago and then I felt him work his way around. Apparently he likes to be breech when I am suppose to go in for an u/s.

I can't tell, but on the ultrasounds he was firmly head down and I assume he stayed there.

I'm with you...I can never really tell. Sometimes when I wake up, I'll feel something round on my right side, which I'm guessing is either his head or his bum! I can't tell the difference between kicks or punches either. As long as he's moving, I'm happy though!

You are not alone, I have no idea how this baby is positioned.
With DD I had an u/s at 28 weeks that showed she was head down and a couple weeks later the dr confirmed that it was her bum that I could always feel in the upper right of my belly (the bump from her bum fit nicely in my hand). She stayed that way the rest of the pregnancy. With this one the kicks and punches are all over the place and I have no idea what they are.
