So I returned to work last week, last week puming was great, 4-6 oz each time (I pump twice during the shift) well I had the weekend off so I didn't pump much and yesterday when I go back I pump 3.5 oz my first session and 2 oz the second session. I only got 5.5 oz total for the day! How am I going to feed my JB on that???? I pump religiously at the same time every day, 430pm and 830pm while I am at work and then I also pump at 1230 when I get home. So I decide I need to start drinking more water I drank 6 liters of water today so I go in for my first pumping session and I get 5 oz quickly. Awesome!!!! Then my 2nd session at 830 I got 3 oz tonight I pumped when I got home and got 1.5oz!! OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I have a freezer stash but shouldn't I be able to pump more than that during the day? I am on a regimented routine when I'm at work. My body should know that oh it's almost time to pump lets get some milk going? I am just at a loss. I don't think I can drink anymore water I might float away. Any advice?

Oatmeal always boosts my supply. There are some recipes for lactation cookies with oatmeal and some other stuff in it that is really supposed to help. Also, I found this mother's milk tea at the health food store and I drink that in addition to eating the oatmeal whenever I feel like my JB has been extra hungry that day. I looked at this site for help when I was worried about my supply:

<Personally I think you are doing great!! The pump is always going to pump less than baby takes. When you get home does your LO ever wake where you could do a night feeding? Do you get at least 1-2 bf sessions in a day? I only pump 1-2 days a week, because I take her to work with me M-W, but Friday and Saturday this week I will have to pump. I only get to pump twice, and the first time is always the most.. maybe 4 ounces on the right and 3 on the left. THe next pumping I'm lucky if I get 2-3 on the right, and 1-2 on the left. Hang in there!!

This happened to me during my first pregnancy, and already..after delivering DS 12 days ago....I have noticed that my pumping supply has dropped from 5-6 ounces at a time (Every 3 hours) to only 3-4 ounces. I'm with you....I HATE water, and just cannot drink any more without feeling like I am swimming away....
With DD 2 years ago..I tried Fenugreek (Supposed to help) and was prescribed Reglan to promote milk production..and it just did not work...for me. Other women SWEAR by it.
My DS....was born early, he is tiny, and his latch is compromised my a shallow palet and his SMALL mouth and my HUGE boobs....so I pump and he gets BM by bottle. I am also concerned that I will lose my supply again by 1 month old....but I am also prepared for it. I end up mixing 1.5 oz. of BM with .5oz of Formula (suggested by Pediatrician......
I have no advice...because My Milk Supply never lasts....But I feel your pain!! Part of my issue is my thyroid disorder....and the fact that I tend to lose ALL my pregnancy weight within 2 weeks of delivery.
Try massaging your boobs between pumps..it CAN help......
