I am always amazed at how this place is NEVER on time with their appointments. I hope the consult doesn't last too long. They said on the phone to prep for a 2 HR visit. I can't possibly imagine what there would be to talk about for TWO FREAKIN HOURS! Last time I got a lecture about how being "obese" is not good for my health and how I was supposed to weigh between 110 and 120lbs for my height! HA! I am a size 6 when I weigh 140...can't imagine how I'd look at 110! How bout a realistic goal, huh? I think BMI is the biggest joke. Doesn't muscle tone count for anything? I'd better tone down the cynicism. Don't want to start the eye-rolling before the appt even starts. I swear if she says the word "obese" again I'm going to go all crazy pregnant lady on her!

Can I say that I'm also amazed at how many people find it acceptable to go out in public in their pajamas. Seriously people...it's not that hard to put in clothes!

You are not obese. I think their charts are rediculos. I'm normally 140 and 5'3 1/2 and they can shove it...right now I'm 182.

Lol..I don't get it either! There were two girls walking down the road in pjs... It's as bad as wearing your pants below their butts with undies hanging out. I found out that it's a male prison thing..that apparently th lower you wear your pants the more your interested in gay sex.

Oh I'm way far from 140...haven't seen that in years! The appt was fine but long. Thankfully nobody used the O word. Good thing too cuz that dietician had me by 30 lbs easily! I'd have hated to have to point that out!

I love it when people preach to you about your weight when theirs isn't under control themselves! How about a personal trainer or aerobics instructor that weighs more than you do? It's so hard to be motivated by someone not following their own advice.

110lbs!!! What are you, 4 feet tall?!? I am 5'1" and I couldn't imagine being 110lbs - my happy weight is around 130 but I haven't seen that is quite a while.
Glad to hear the appt was OK and they didn't mention the bad word.
(side note, I used to wear flannel pj pants out of the house on occasion and DH did it all the time. I think we have grown up a bit and now typically throw on some jeans but I can't say that I haven't made a quick grocery store run in pj pants *blush*. I would rather see pjs than spandex as long as the pants are covering their butts.)
