What a long day...... Omg. I'm tired and achy. Update 28+ weeks.. Good fluid, good hb's, bloodwork done again, non stress tests...ugh..were stressful. Waited almost 2 hrs for the apt. Then of course comes the challenge of finding 3hb's for 20 mins each..without someone kicking or flipping or just disappearing. It took forever..the strip looked pathetic. But.....the best part was when the l&d doc came in to check on Joshua and we watched him practice breathing...so sweet.

Wow, I never thought how about how difficult that would be for 3 nonstress tests. Do they put 3 dopplers on at once or try each one seperately for 20 min a piece. It kinda seems counterproductive either way. It would make so much more sense to look via ultrasound.

Wow! I thought that this one was hard to monitor. Imagine 3! I'm glad that everything went well.

That's EXACTLY what DH said. In fact the best info they got was when the l&d doc came in, found Josh and watched him move, watched his heart beat, and watched him practice breathing. The other two would not hold still and the strip was blank most of the time. The apt took almost an hour and a half. They tried to monitor two at a time.

And I agree..I know it's all good stuff to know...but for someone with a sketchy cervix length, now 1.3, and on full time bed rest, it's a big deal to have me up from 10:30 getting ready, 1130 to 1230 in the car, 1pm apt in the us dept, 130 up in the lab and then sitting in a hard chair in a busy waiting room until almost 330 for an apt set up for 230... Then a walk back because the wheelchair was gone and a 1hr drive back. It was 6pm by the time I ate, drank and got to lay down again :( and nobody apologized for making us wait so long, no explanation..nada. It's like they want to cause preterm labor.. And I really ache today. Didn't sleep all night. ...k ..that's my vent for today.

That's rough, They should've had you on the fast track there. I think I'd be complaining and insist on it next time. I hope you're feeling better soon and get a good night's sleep.
