First appt and ultrasound

I had my first appointment on Tuesday (despite the crazy weather here, it was still on). I got to see the bean--measuring 2 days ahead of LMP (still keeping EDD of 6/19), strong heartbeat of 180. I go back next Friday for the actual midwife visit. I am trying for a natural water birth this time and am excited (I changed doctors and hospitals for this option). Hope everyone's appointments are going well

Yay for a strong heartbeat and good appointment! I'm looking into changing doctors and hospitals for this birth too because I want something more natural birth friendly. I planned a natural birth with dd, but it didn't happen (largely bc I went very overdue and had to be induced. boo pitocin). Anyway, I'm interviewing a mid wife in early December and if that goes well, I'll be switching. The hospital the mw delivers at has a birthing tub, so I'm excited about that. I'm not sure I actually want to give birth in the tub, but I'll definitely want to use it for pain management.
