Can't keep up with my appetite

Hi,

So  I am almost 10 weeks along and I feel as though I cannot keep up with my appetite. I am ALWAYS hungry. I am very tiny, under five feet tall about just over 80lbs so I am surprised I haven't gained more. I just feel like I can't keep up and keep myself full. I find if I eat a normal size meal, I get full quickly, somtimes feel slightly nauseas, but then am hungry an hour later, so I eat snacks. Then over night I sleep straight through so wake up famished. I eat a bowl of cereal then once at work usually find a snack to tide me over until lunch. I try and eat healthy, my bf is a chef and makes me healthy balanced dinners, chicken, rice and veg when he can. But again, I can only eat so much of it. Even if  Iam starving. I try to eat yogurt and fruit. I drink alot of juice. Cut out caffine entirely. I just can't stay full. And by always feeling hungry I feel as though I am not eating enough for my baby. Any advice? I am noticing I am eating alot of salt....I don't know if its just a craving or if  I am lacking something in my diet. The plus side is I have had almost no morning sickness thus far. I had maybe 4 or 5 queasy days a week or two ago, but that was it. Now I feel great aside from constantly being hungry and a sore back and tummy muscles. I am already starting to show a little too since  I am so tiny, even though I am only at 10 weeks. It's almost a little scary lol

Because you're so tiny, your body is 'storing food' in case of famine!  Seriously, I read that somewhere.  If you're small to begin with your body will naturally store food/fat in case of emergency.  There is something growing in there your little bean is searching for stuff to eat!

I'm constantly hungry too.  My stomach feels awful if i'm not feeding it!  While I'm eating I feel great...once I stop I feel yucky.  I can already tell I've gained weight.  I'm small but not quite as small as you.  I'm 5'1" and 100 pounds.  Well, I WAS 100 pounds before getting pregnant!  Not sure what I am now.  I'll find out on Wednesday at my first OB appointment.

Take care and happy eating!

Glad to hear someone is in the same boat as me. I don't get nauseas unless I am super hungry. Usually it's first thing in the morning when I wake up before getting out of bed. I feel sick, but as soon as I am up, moving around and have eaten something, and it doesn't matter what, I can eat anything. Then I feel better and I am fine from then on. Cept that I just always feel hungry no matter what.lol. I feel like a pig sometimes. I ate a whole bag of popcorn, only half an hour after eating a full balanced meal, which I couldn't finish because I felt slightly nauseas from over eating. So I stopped but half an hr later devoured orville redenbacher. Its weird.

I'm at 9 weeks today and have to eat every hour or so or I get nauseous and puke.  I'd rather feel like I'm a never-ending eating machine than hunched over the commode though!  One thing that helps keep me full for awhile longer is apple slices with almond butter (pb is awful right now!).  I try to go for healthy stuff, but things like yogurt are also on my evil list.  I keep dry cereal in a little container at work so I can munch on that as often as needed - plain life cereal has been wonderful this week! :-)  Other go-to snacks are all natural cheese sticks, dried apricots, saltines, chocolate milk (plain makes me gag right now), raw almonds, and any kind of fruit (apples, peaches, bananas, mandarin oranges).
