High Iron at wic visit

High Iron at wic visit

How important is this, never had this happen before, It was a 17.2 I think and she said 11-15 was normal and I hadn't ate anything out of ordinary I dont even think I ate or drank anything but water before I went in. Why would Iron be high?

Could be something simple like being dehydrated.  Do you smoke?  Lower oxygen levels can cause higher hematocrit  numbers.  Or it could be something more serious.  But regardless, it is something that will be tested at your initial labwork when you go to the OB.  If there's something wrong, they'll notice it then.
