Day 2 is much better for pain, though it was a long night trying to nurse him :( for all my other children I have had trouble because I apparently don't produce milk beyond colostrum. I have tried every method and resource available and have always ended up supplementing when they fail to wet enough or gain enough in the first few days. Last night with Connor I tried from 11:30 to 2:30 and we ended up with him screaming and shaking with frustration and red as a tomato so I asked for a bottle and the poor little guy drank 15 ml straight away and fell sleep again content. At this point i think I may just continue with the formula and feel like I am satisfying his needs rather than try to continue to frustrate both of us when I will probably end up bottle feeding ultimately if it is like the past times. Other than that things are going very smoothly and I am very happy I went with the drug choices i fed despite the pain so that I was able to spend a good first day bonding with him. I was able to shower today which was lovely and hopefully i can go home on Thursday evening or Friday morning. Talk to you ladies later!
