Will you deliver your baby with an OB or a Midwife?

In hospital, at home, or in a birthing center?

My babies were both born at a birthing center that is 15 minutes away from the hospital with lovely midwives.
This time I am of course going with a midwife, but I'm hoping to have a home birth... DH isn't on board with it because we live in an apartment, so we'll see when the time comes.
I had to be transfered to hospital after DD was born due to post-partum hemorrhaging and I absolutely HATED being there, it was just terrible.

My goal is with a midwife at home. I have to gets hubs on board. I had an all natural birth with DS and feel like home would be a good choice for me. There aren't any birthing centers in my area. I currently have an appointment with a midwife on the Sept 23rd and with the OB on Oct. 31. I'm hoping the midwife appointment will convince DH and I'll be able to cancel the OB.

Both my daughters were born at the hospital. I would love to do it at home but i dont think my medical insurance will cover for that.

I had my first baby in a hospital, and ended up with a c-section, so I was grateful to be there. I will be using my same OB, and delivering again in a hospital. I had a great experience, and have no qualms about it at all!

I will be delivering at a birthing center with 1 of the 4 midwives that practice there.

Midwives have everything necessary in situations like that, so it wouldn't have been an issue. :)

I will deliver with my OB in the hospital. I love my doc and the hospital I go to is really great. I am hoping to forego the drugs this time though...the epidural didn't really kick in until I had to push with dd and ds so I couldn't feel anything.

I've had 2 c-sections so I'll be with an OB in the hospital. Although, my delima is going to be finding an OB willing to let me go into labor prior to doing the c-section.

With DD I delivered with midwives in a hospital. It was a good experience and I enjoyed working with midwives. This time around we decided to try out the local birth center that is a few minutes from the hospital. I have been going to these midwives for my check-ups as well as with my loss in April, so I'm hopeful it will be a good experience. I really love that you go home about 6 hours after giving birth! When I was in the hospital after DD they wanted us to stay a second night even though there wasn't really a reason other than that we were new parents and we might have questions.
