The biggest surprise for me was after I had my first. It was a particularly long and involved labour but as soon as she was in my arms all of that disappeared and I was ready to do it again. The mind is a strange beast!

I agree, Tabitha! Even with all of the pain and everything involved in pregnancy/labor, I have always pushed that part to the back. I mean I am starting to get nervous already, but it's just that fear of the unknown since none of my labors have been the same.

I do have to agree with the article that I had no idea how much blood/fluid was involved until my first. It is pretty shocking!
