Can't sleep!
Mon, 03-12-2012 - 3:08am
I am tired during the day and feel like napping. Sometimes I do. But at night I can not sleep! Tired and yawning at 8. Wide awake at 9. When I do sleep I am dreaming crazy vivid dreams, tossing and turning, or last night I had restless legs:(

I feel for you...exhausted during the day and only on and off sleep at mind won't shut off. Hopefully you get some good naps during the day.

I think our bodies are prepping us for the sleepless nights with the babies. You might get more sleep come 2nd trimester, but 3rd is horrible.
Right now, if I'm not having trouble sleeping, then my youngest is waking me up. He's teething four molars right now. He's waking up 3-4 times a night.

I didn' get to sleep til at least 1 am. I will be napping today.
My youngest dd taught me how to be a night owl. She was a non napper and didn't go to sleep til late. At 7 yrs she is still a late night girl.

I am having no problem falling asleep, but my 3 year old has been waking up around 2-3 and after I go check on him I can't sleep again for a couple of hours.

I'm not having that problem now, but I had lots of trouble sleeping during 3rd T with both of my kids. It didn't leave me as exhausted as I expected then. Just mother nature getting you ready.

Right now we are in the process of moving and have been painting the new house. So, between working, painting, packing, and chasing 2 little ones, I'm exhausted. I feel like I could sleep for a week. Almost done then.

If you are yawning at 8, try going to bed then one night. I hardly ever do that, so when I'm that exhausted (and we aren't moving), I can usually get DH to take over with the kids and just go to bed.

Good luck

Oh yes. I can't sleep either, but it's not falling asleep that I have the problems with, it's staying asleep. I wake up at 5am sometimes or earlier and can't sleep anymore. It's awful. No one else is awake at that hour. You just have to toss and turn and hope that you can catch a wink.

I can fall asleep but wake up about 4-5 times a night with these insane dreams I've been having! My kids don't really let me nap during the day. I take a few 5-10 minute cat naps :)
