Ah!

Had my 31 week appointment today & a sonogram to check position of the placenta. The "little" guy isn't so little! I told my doctor that if I could go into labor in the next 2 weeks, I might give birth to a normal sized baby. He assured me that trading "normal sized" for premature wasn't a good trade off at all :smileywink: I definitely agree, but I am getting nervous. I think I'm going to just cut out all sugar... which I said I was going to do WEEKS ago, and hope for the best.

On the up-side, the placenta is where it should be now, amniotic fluid is perfect (I worried about that because of how uncomfortable it is for him to move around in there), he's head down and "in position", heart rate was 150 and he has some seriously chubby little cheeks! Oh, and he's still a boy :smileyhappy:

Tabatha- I weighed 8 lb. 8 oz. :smileyhappy: My mom had three of us. The first was 5 lb. 5 oz., the second was 7 lb. 7 oz. and I was 8/8. She stopped there.

Good visit! Sounds like he's been getting ready in there. Now just a few more weeks!

I think I need to cut back on some sugar too, even though my glucose test was fine. I have been using it as a crutch to get through the day without napping since I've been so busy and DD doesn't nap anymore.

Awww! I know! I'm afraid I'm going to have to skip all of the 0-3 month too!

Glad to hear your placenta and fluid look good! Sounds like you'll be able to skip the newborn size onesies :smileyhappy:

Good to hear the placenta moved and that he is in position. I also have a big guy (not ultrasound confirmed just external measurments) and it sucks!!! It is so uncomfortable. If he stays in to the end he will be my first that doesn't weigh exactly 8lbs 8oz.
Proud Mom to Annika (4), Jamie (3), and 4 angels. Anxiously awaiting Baby #3!
