At 5 weeks 6 days we found out that I've miscarried the baby.
This has been the longest 24 hours of my life.
I went into the ER last night around 11 pm because I had bright red blood.
I finally got to see Doctor #1 around 3 am, my heart rate was 130 beats per minute, blood pressure was high, he did an echo and couldn't find my uterus, so instead he did a blood test.
Around 6 am, he came to my room with the results, my pregnancy hormone was so low that it was the equivilant to a week old pregnacy (I should have been 6 weeks at that point), He requested I stay at the hospital and wait until 8 am to have an internal ultrasound.
By 10:30 am I had the ultrasound and no baby was found at all, so they believe I must have miscarried in the night, despite the fact that I wasn't and still am not bleeding much at all (mostly when I wipe). The ultrasound tech and the doctor told me I have a beautiful and perfect uterus (I guess that's good news?)
Doctor #2 comes to see me around 1 and tells me he believes the reason I miscarried was because I'm in the lovely 15% of women who carry a negative blood type, and my SO is positive, so Baby probably had a positive blood type, and those lovely anit-bodies of mine (which can't even fight off a simple cold) seemed to have won the battle.
I got a shot of Winrho which apparently will help if I'm able to concieve another little one in the next few months, but if I find out I'm pregnant I have to go and get a shot right off again.
