Is anyone else spotting after sex? The last time we dtd was last Thursday, started spotting, told the nurse & doc at my appt they weren't concerned. Spotting stopped that night. Now today (5 days later) it's started back up & passed a little blood clot too.

Normal? Not contracting any more than usual, nothing else is going on

I've heard it's normal, but call your doc just in case.  They might want to do an exam to make sure you're not dilating.  My midwife's rule is to call anytime you have any bleeding, but not to worry because it's probably nothing.  I'm not sure sex 5 days ago would cause bleeding today.  I think this is one of those times to call just to get reassurance.

For sure call. 5 days later doesn't sound like being from sex. Keep us posted!

Hi. I would call, but it is most likely normal. I went through this last week. Started bleeding right after and then no bleeding for 3 days. Woke up the fourth day and I was bleeding and had mild cramps. I called the OBGYN office and they told me to come in. They checked me and stated "Yes, we can see the bleeding. Everything is tight and close" Doctor stated my cervix appears to be very sensitive at this moment so anything that touch is it makes it bleed. She said I can bleed sporadically for almost a week after. Will be more careful next time :-) Good luck. I am positive everything will be fine.

it's normal.. the cervix is very vascular.. and it shifts downward.. so it is more likely to bleed if bumped.  no cramping is good.. and frankly.. at this stage in the game, I'm not worried about preterm labor..lol

I know the babies are still little, but most of us should be out of the woods.
