36ish weeks

36w2days... Still breech, 40% effaced, not dialated, lost another 6 pounds.  If baby doesn't flip within the next week, I'm being transfered to an OB and losing my midwife, since she can't do c-sections.  So here's my next few weeks if nothing changes...

37 weeks (next week): Meet with midwife to check baby positioning.

38 weeks: Meet with regular OB to discuss flipping baby and c-section prodedure.

39 weeks: Do ECV (doc flips baby externaly) and induce labor, or have a c-section.

So I guess that means this will be a late September baby.  I'm sick of being pregnant, but it's a little intimidating to think that I'll have a baby in 3 weeks!

Well yay for 36 weeks! I recall they said you may not make it that far! and my tip to u is... Externally flipping baby hurts. Very uncomfortable. I had a doc and 2 nurses do it to me as a group my last pregnancy and ended up with a c section anyway! he turned but it wasn't worth it. But then again, I know you prob dont want one surgery then another on your gallblader. Don't mean to scare u, just warning you.

I'm supposed to be doing stretches/poses to make baby flip.  But I'm battling stomach flu and there is absolutely no way I'm getting up out of my recliner anytime soon.  I think this baby's position is out of my hands.

Here they'll deliver breech if they don't see any reason to believe there will be complications. Doc said just today she delivered twins vaginally - and one was breech. Also know that BTDT moms' babies take their time getting into position. Nevertheless, I'll be praying your little guy does a flip!

I know breech babies have been delivered naturally before, but it's not an option for me.  I had bad hemoraging after baby #1, and tore significantly in two places with baby #2.  I can't imagine c-section recovery is that much worse that those.  At least I'm in a one story house this time, I was in 2 story for my other babies and doing steps with stitches was awful.  Dh's cousin and his wife just had a baby, it was overdue at 42 weeks and nearly 10 pounds, and he didn't flip until she was in labor on the way to the hospital.

Boy that's some last minute flipping! I'm thinking I won't be up for stairs regardless of how I deliver. ;-) Get well soon!!!
