Holy cow, my baby is HUGE!
Tue, 08-28-2012 - 3:02pm

Today, I received a 33 week ultrasound to follow up on previous concerns. Everything is normal!

Except for baby measuring 5 weeks ahead of time! He measures 38 weeks along and is averaging 7.6lbs!

He is also trans-verse. Laying across my belly diagonally. Head in my ribs. (totally though it was his butt - since it was so big, nope! his big ol head)

I still have 6 weeks till my 39 week csection! Holy moly, no wonder I am in so much pain all the time. I am now jealous of women who can stop working a week before they are full term. I am having to work (on my feet) with a full term sized baby inside me for 5 more weeks!

My last son was 9.12 and looks like this baby will weigh between 9-11lbs. Im going to exchange all my newborn clothes now lol.

Wow! Big boy! I know ultrasounds can be off by a lb or so, but still, that's a big baby regardless! Your stomach must hurt. Transverse is such a painful position.

Wow, that's a big one.  He might slow down though.  My son was estimated over 7 pounds, nearly 2 months before due date.  Since they can grow 1/2 pound a week, I freaked out thinking I'd have a 11 or 12 pound kid.  He was 8.11, which is big, but nowhere near record breaking.

I guess the only good thing about a c-section is you don't have to worry if baby is breech or too big.  Hang in there.  Hopefully he moves soon so you can catch your breath.  Baby up in your ribs is no fun.

You are not kidding, you will have a big baby if the ultrasound is correct. I m sorry that you have to work until the end especially when you are so uncomfortable.

This baby has been transverse until recently. I would say I feel your pain, but I know I haven't because this baby is still average for her 'age'. Hopefully you can put up your feet here and there!
