Caffeine is one of the many things they tell us to cut back on or avoid during pregnancy. The

I don't drink coffee, but I love diet coke. I switched the at-home ones to caffeine free and I won't worry about it too much when we go out. Although I usually order water when we go out because sodas are so expensive!

I have cut out caffinated drinks, but I do that every so often anyway. Caffiene always has a strong effect on me and I can get jittery very easily, and addicted easily which results in bad headaches, so I try not to drink it too much. So I'm off coffee and soda, although I will still eat chocolate. I mean, come on! :smileylol:

For my first 5 pregnancies I cut coffee out completely. Then I was just too tired and busy to do it again. So I drink it in moderation. One to two cups a day. I never pay attention to it in foods like chocolate, etc.

I cook most things from scratch, avoid as many processed foods, etc as I can so I figure 1-2 cups of coffee in a day isn't going to do much.

Oh, this is one of the hardest things for me! I really enjoy coffee! I do cut out caffiene as much as possible. I limit myself to 1 cup of 1/2 caff coffee in the mornng (and I usually don't finish that) and water the rest of the day. Today I did drink a glass of tea at lunch, but skipped the morning coffee. I'm happy and surprised that I'm not missing it as much as I thought I would!

Last week I decided to cut out caffeine just to do it (didn't know I was pregnant). I bought caffeine free diet coke. I drink that here and there, but not multiple times a day like I was. I don't drink coffee and I switched to decaf tea when I drink tea at home. I don't worry about the caffeine in foods.

I have cut out my daily soda and/or coffee. I'll get a decaf coffee occasionally and still drink sweet tea once a week or so. I usually have to stick to water though, or I get light headed anyway.

I cut coffee out completely, but I still indulge in the occasional Coca Cola. Not nearly as much as I did pre-pregnancy, though!
