Creative outlets to help deal

Just wondering if anyone else found any ways to help deal with grief? Shortly after losing Landon, like within 3 weeks, I found myself indulging in digital scrapbooking. I had never done any type of scrapbooking before, but I needed something, some way to help get out what I was feeling.

I reallly like looking back through the digi scrap pages I made. I find that they completely reflect my state of mind. Some are very dark and gray, while others are super colorful and fun, it's interesting to see the wide range I have come up with over the past almost 15 months.

Anybody else find creative ways to help themselves deal with grief?

I started a journal and wrote in every detail for weeks. Poems, phrases and memories I recounted. I also captured the text messages that DH and I had conversed over leading up to the loss. I find that I am forgetting small details and confused in my feelings. I read through it and while it is hard too I am thankful I documented everything for my angel.
Mommy to my angel, Logan born sleeping on 2.19.09 at 28 weeks. Trying to conceive our lil miracle for over 3 years. IVF #1 = chemical pregnancy. IVF #2 = cancelled, IVF#3 (Nov '10) = BFP, Beta #1- 86, Beta #2 - 244, Beta #3 - 777. First u/s at 6w5d

I have recently found many "short verses" like what would be in a poem that I wrote all over in a notebook that I had by my bed. I do remember writing in the middle of the night, many times, I'd dream and wake up and write them down, but not remember anything except what I wrote.

In a way, it's comforting to be able to "remember" what you were feeling. I too am losing small details, makes me sad, but I guess that's a part of "moving forward".
