Hello I am new to this board. On Jan. 17th I lost my son Gabriel at 39 wks. He weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. When he was born we did not know anything was wrong except that he was not crying. Finally after working on him for 1/2 and hour the doctor told us sorry but he could not save our baby and labeled him stillborn. After we got Gabriel's autopsy report back the cause seemed to be that my placenta and seperated abruptly. My husband and I have decided that we would like to start to try to concieve another baby. My question is how rare is what happened to me with Gabriel and I hope we will have a live happy baby next time. My doctor did tell me that next time I get pregnant I will be watched very carefully and will get stress tests and ultrasounds. Also he said they will induce me at 36 or 37 weeks. Have any of you had an experience like this and what are you thoughts. Thank you for taking time to read me ramble on.

Suzanna-

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet baby boy, Gabriel. I am glad you have found us and I know you'll get the support you need here. I am on "the bench" for a while as DH still isn't ready to actively ttc (it's been 17 months since my baby, Clara, died at 35 weeks due to a cord accident). I hope your journey here is short but if not, we're here for you.

hugs,

Ashley

I don't know much about placental abruption. But I do know that I'm so sorry that you lost your sweet Gabriel. Hearing these stories never makes any of this easier. I'm so sorry. I'm glad you found us, and I pray your stay is very, very short.

Lou,

I am sorry I haven't written sooner. I just have not checked the board in a few days. Were you able to retest yet? Was the line any darker. Hopefully the test was positive! If not I will pray that everything goes well this month. Yes my daughter has hit the terrible 2's. She tries to be so independent. Even though she is so silly right now we love her so much. She makes us laugh with some the tricks she pulls and thank God for the laughter she brings to our lives right now. I hope your daughter does the same for you .

Hugs,

Suzanna
