Hi girls.

So I am completely obsessed with ttc. I finally got AF back 2 weeks ago after losing Emma (8/11/09). And now I feel like it may actually be possible for me to get pregnant again. I did not have any trouble getting pregnant either time before, I have a 2 year old also, but I feel like I have been waiting for so long and I am more than ready to be pregnant again, and I just want it so badly right now.(Something I know you all can relate to) Anyway, I decided when I got AF that I would start charting to give me some sense of control. In the past, my cycles have been pretty irregular and long, 35-40 days. I decided to start opk testing. I have never done this before and wonder if anyone has had a positive experience with it? Does it really work? I started on day 11 because I didn't want to chance missing it, and because I am irregular, just got my first AF and have no idea when to expect to O. I know I am going to need a lot of tests considering I started early and have longer cycles. I just hope one day I will actually get a positive opk, and then a BFP to follow!

Thanks for listening, any feedback would be appreciated.

Lis,

I'm glad to hear that your cycle finally started. I hope things go well for you. I found this Website very helpful. Look under "ovulation predictors" near the bottom of the page for lots of info. I ordered my tests from Amazon because they seemed to have the best prices. The OPKs were easy to use, they came individually wrapped, and had a 2 year out date. I tried the First Response OPKs but I thought that they were VERY expensive and once you opened the pouch you had to use all the tests within 30 days. The cheap ones are small, but will give you good results. They also show pictures on the Website on what a pos looks like.

The cheap pregnancy tests worked great, also. I got a stronger line from the cheap test then I did on the early First Response off the same sample. The

I have been using OPKs for the past 2 months. Last month I bought the CVS brand and 7 came in a pack. I had a couple leftover this month that I used, and I also bought some from the Dollar Tree. I liked the CVS brand the best because they were POAS and not in a cup, like the ones from the Dollar Tree. I got a positive on the OPK last month, but I don't think our timing was right. This month I bought pre-seed and hopefully we timed it right this time. I will find out next weekend!

Good luck to you!
