Hi everyone,

I guess I'm just getting anxious, or bored today so I have been wondering:

I don't have very regular periods.

pregnancy week by week

Well, I've gotten positive HPT's on CD10 before plenty of times. So, jump on out there and get yourself a First Response Early Result test. They are the n=best in all my years and years of pregnancy tests. The Dollar Tree ones are good, too, but not as good as the First Response ones. OPK's can pick up the LH as well as the HCG, so don't take it as gospel. :)
Best wishes to you!!

Yes, amazingly they can. PeeOnAStick dot com explains it very well. HCG and LH are like twins but HCG wears a hat. HPT's look for the hat, LH just looks for one of the twins. There is always an amount if LH in your blood, so getting two lines is not uncommon. This is why you can't use them as HPT's for confirming pregnancy. However, once you pass the first HPT test and get further into the pregnancy, try it just for fun. I figured I'd never have use for my OPK's, so I peed on them at various times. By the time I was *really* pregnant, the test line was so dark there wasn't dye left for the control line!
The only info I have not been able to find on the web is what sensitivity OPK's are for HCG. HPT's all have a sensitivity rating, but not so for OPK's. Bummer. It would be interesting to find out.
