Update - Made Appt with Fertility Docs

(Sorry girls...this turned into a longer post than I thought)

Well, when DH and I last saw my doc in November for a follow up and to talk to him about my options and talk about my despair at not conceiving yet, the doc said that it was up to DH and I, but that he would like us (at the time) to give it 2 more cycles to conceive on our own, and after that, in January, if we had no success, that he wanted to refer us to the fertility docs for a consult.

Mimi,

I'm so excited that you have made an appointment with the fertility doctor. I love my RE. Just stepping into her office gives me so much hope. I cry almost every time.

I had an HSG done last February. It's really nothing to be scared of. For most women it's very quick and painless. You might have some mild cramping but probably nothing more than you are used to with AF. Mine was a little more complicated due to my "unusual" anatomy but even still it wasn't too big of a deal. I have heard several success stories about women getting pregnant the cycle of or right after the HSG.

Good luck and please know I am praying for a Christmas miracle for you!

Mimi... sounds like you found a very nice docs office staff to deal with. I am glad that you made this appt. I was thinking of doing the same thing in February if we are not PG, while still exploring adoption.

Wishing for our christmas miracle BFPs.... keep us posted on how it goes.

I wish you the best of luck! Hopefully, you won't even need that appointment in January. But at least if you have to go, you know they are nice and you are in good hands! I hope it doesn't take long for you to get that BFP!

Mimi.. Glad you have a plan in place. It is amazing how many women who had no trouble conceiving before have a hard time getting pregnant after their loss. I have had an HSG and it was nothing although I was scared to death before I had it done. Now I have done clomid, injectables and IUI's even. I was using birth control when I conceived the son I lost. Go figure.Good luck

It is a little strange that our losses are so close, we're the same age (turned 35 in Sept) and our cycles are so similar.
