Okay, I'm in the process of making a reservation at ASMo. Unfortunately, the system is giving her trouble.

She just came back on. They expect it to be back up within an hour. She verified that the room is available and will process my info as soon as possible, but it may be an hour. I will be leaving in about an hour for my gyn appt, which could take ALL day!

So, I don't have a confirmation number or not. When I started this post, I thought it was going to be all happy. Guess not (yet!).

GRRR! I expected some frustration with this last-minute trip, but not THIS!

Okay, I got home and found out that I did have a confirmation number.

Finally get a chance to look at it, my deposit is for the amount I agreed to pay--for one night standard room. But my deposit REQUIRED is $12 more. Why? Because the whole reservation is set on a preferred room at over $50 more than my quoted total! So, I call them back. They have no standard rooms available (she said they WERE available when I booked this morning). Then, I hung up and called back asking to speak to a manager. The system's down AGAIN, so the manager will call me back when it comes back up.

Do I have ANY hope of getting this down $50? This was our first chance to ever stay on-site, and because of this fiasco, we probably won't be able to again. I cannot believe that we are set to pay $121 per night right now.

Any advice/suggestions?

No suggestions, but I love ASMo!

I would ask again when you check in, if you get there. Maybe there would be a standard available then?
