News: Food Trucks Coming to Downtown Disney

Reported by The

Disney Parks Blog has announced the food trucks will be added to Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida this fall.

Each of the four food trucks to capture different qualities found in Disney Parks. According to the Disney Parks Blog, each truck will also represent food from a different Disney Park as well offer selections from Walt Disney World restaurants.

The “Enchanted Fare” food truck emphasizes popular items from various Disneyland parks and Magic Kingdom. On the menu: Magic Kingdom’s Croque Monsieur (found at Be Our Guest Restaurant); Disneyland Park’s Hand-Dipped Corn Dogs (multiple locations); and Hong Kong Disneyland’s Glass Noodle Salad.

As its name suggests, “The World Showcase of Flavors” features food from Epcot. This truck will highlight items from the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. On the menu: Grass-Fed Beef Sliders (featured at the Florida Local Marketplace Kiosk this year), Pierogi with Kielbasa (Poland Marketplace Kiosk) and Lobster Rolls (Hops & Barley Marketplace Kiosk).

“Superstar Catering” focuses on meatballs, one of the food options found throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Featured on the menu will be Lamb Meatball Flatbread with Tzatziki.

The “Namaste Café” food truck offers some of Disney’s savory best, serving dishes presumably inspired by WDW’s Indian-African dishes as found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. On the menu: Butter Chicken, Slow-Cooked Beef Short Ribs and Tandoori Spiced Shrimp. (Similar items are currently on Sanaa’s menu.) All dishes will be served with Naan.

I read about that, too.  Sounds great!  I especially can't wait for the Epcot F&W truck, although I was not impressed with the lobster roll last year.  And it's pricey, too!  I think we might have tried the kielbasa with pierogi, but I'll have to check my notes.  Luckily, I took pictures of almost everything we ate, and I kept my receipts.  We went throught them recently and checked off in our Food & Wine Passport what we had eaten and our thoughts on the items so that when we go next month, we can avoid the things we weren't impressed with and try new things Smile

So excited for you! When we were there in March/April, Epcot had added some components of the Food & Wine Festival to the Flower & Garden Festival. I was very excited to try some of the different foods but surprisingly, Alan wasn't too intrigued by the offerings - and I'm the picky eater, not him, go figure! My girls did get to try their first Dole Whip b/c of this so that was pretty cool LOL
