Got our Wishes Cruises!

Hooray! Relief!! I had wanted to do a fireworks cruise again (we did it a few yrs ago with my sis and her family) and I thought it would be great to do with my cousin's family.  However, I always get nervous making these kind of reservations, especially for Easter break.  I will admit I was on the phone redialing Disney Play at 6:57am until I stopped getting the "sorry our office is closed" message and a CM answered shortly afterwards; reminded me of those days of trying to get ADRs for CRT years ago LOL  All of this in the midst of getting ready for work and driving Clara to school - amazing it all worked out and we were all on time for school! :D   The CM did throw me for a loop - after I told her what I wanted to book and for when, she asked if I was staying on property and for that resv number.  As I was fumbling for it (b/c I didn't have it readily available), I asked if it was necessary (afraid that my boat was going to booked out from under me LOL) and she said this way she could link it to my resvs.  *sigh* The process actually didn't take all that long :)

So we are set for the Saturday night before Easter Sunday. Dinner at 'Ohana followed by our Wishes FW cruise!

That's cool!! Are you doing the cruise from the Contemporary? We booked one several years ago from there, but it got rained out before the FW started :( I thought about trying it again next year, but I guess we'll wait until I know DS won't panic when the FW start, I'd hate to be stranded in the middle of the lake if he did, lol!

I've never had dinner at Ohana, only breakfast. Sigh. Definitely on the to-do list at some point, everyone just raves about it.

Hey Jamie! We're able to get the boat from the Poly's Marina so we'll hang out there after dinner at 'Ohana. Haven't eaten at 'Ohana for dinner in a while but I've always enjoyed it so really looking forward to it. I did look into the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise from the Contemporary but it would have been more expensive. Also we'll have the pontoon boat all to ourselves (along with the captain, of course LOL) as opposed to be with a large group. Still, the P&P cruise looked very cool, especially since Clara is a big fan of Peter Pan. While I've been lucky that my kids have not had issues with fireworks, Clara is not crazy about the boats at night but she was ok on the last FW cruise a few years ago. She tells me she's game so I hope she'll enjoy it as much as the rest of us :)

Wow.  That would have been horrible to get through and have someone book it while you looked for the reservation #.    It does seem she could have snagged it, then linked the # later.

Regardless, I'm very happy to read you got it!!!    I've always wanted to do one of these- so you can see the awesome firework display without the crowd.   But my DDs tend to be less than thrilled with firework noise.    Is there any less, or more, noise than when you are watching them from inside the park?   We did ear covers when they were younger. . . .I wonder if we still have them.  :)

Sounds awesome!  I would love to do that!  Maybe next year.  Mitchell now has a girlfriend (he's 15), and if he is still dating her next fall, we might take her with us as she's never been before.  Any excuse I can think to get my husband and son to go again LOL!

{couple of months late replying *blush*} - from what I remember, the sound of the fireworks was not as loud - if we heard it at all. I have video from our last fireworks cruise - I should check. I know the boat was able to pipe in the music :) It really was wonderful!
