The new Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasy Land

The new Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasy Land is really cool. It is set in the castle from Beauty and the Beast. The food is good and so is the service. Our kids have sensitivity to loud noises and the west wing area of the restaurant was a little overwhelming for them. The ballroom area would have probably worked out better for us. We have reservations for dinner here for March 6th.   I'm looking forward to seeing it in person, the pics look incredible.

I'm taking my oldest DD and her family as well.  So I have a table for 7 reserved.    I know my 3 DDs will love it, as they are all 3 Beauty & Beast fans.   I'm hoping my grandsons will enjoy it - from the Beast Castle aspect.

Hoping to do a proper report soon, but wanted to share that we had a very nice meal at Be Our Guest on our first night. The theming is wonderful from the entrance to throughout the restaurant. The main ballroom/dining room is beautiful and I was hoping to be seated there - we were not but in retrospect, that room is HUGE and probably more noisy than where we were. We were seated in the music box room (although I don't think that is what it is called). The Rose Garden! (I looked it up! LOL) There are lovely paintings found throughout the room but the big ticket item in this room is the giant Belle and Beast music box - it turns and there is lovely movie music playing. We celebrated our anniversary on this trip and at the end of our meal, our server brought out our chosen desserts (beautifully decorated - and tasty - cupcakes) as well as a special item - the gray stuff! It actually said on the dish - "try the gray stuff" and it really was delicious LOL More like a cupcake frosting than an actual dessert - but ask for it b/c it's not on the menu. I have to re-check my notes about dinner items - I know that Sara and I both had the shrimp and scallops and while it was tasty, there was a LOT of puff pastry. And surprisingly, they added a biscuit to the plate - which I thought was a bit odd, so much "bread" on one plate. I'll get back on starters b/c I'm questioning my memory right now LOL but I know Clara had the Cornish game hen b/c she decided to be daring (she's such a picky eater) and figured hen was chicken and she'd be fine. However, chicken to her is cutlets and fingers so when it showed up on the bone (as I knew it would) it kind of freaked her out - a little hen like that! LOL It was kind of funny but she ate it and it was tasty! Lastly, our cousins were there too and they had made all of their ADRs after I made ours - sometimes we were able to get our tables together without a problem, especially if our ADRs were near the same time. However, their ADR was much later than ours tonight and while the restaurant mgr would allow us to eat later at the time of their ADR, she would not guarantee that we would be seated together - and she would NOT move their ADR to our time slot. We were surprised then to find so many empty tables in our room!! The nice thing about this restaurant is that they will allow you to walk around and take pictures - which we did. After dinner, you can go into the Beast's library area and meet with him but before we did that, we took a few pics in the ballroom - they didn't do it justice! And then in the West Wing - I thought that room was incredibly creepy! If you have young children or sensitive, nervous, easily-scared children, ask the hostess if you can be seated anywhere but. The room is like the West Wing - everything is destroyed and ripped apart and looks like it would be at home in the Haunted Mansion. Plus there are creepy sounds and growls. The famous rose is here too. As we were taking pics, my cousins were being seated here - just as I was thinking it was the last place I would want to be seated at! They were fine though - but everyone has their own tastes. The girls met the Beast before we left the Castle and he was gracious. Then we walked past the knights in armor who whisper and mumble as you go by which is just like the movie so that was neat. Oh, there is a wonderful mosaic near the bathrooms - just like in the beginning of the movie. So while both Alan and my cousin's DH didn't think the food was "all that", I thought the meal was pretty good and the theming excellent. I suppose lunch would be a nice way to experience it - less ADR stress and money, I'm sure! LOL

Glad to hear your comments, Val!  I hope you are writing a trip report.  I haven't gotten that far down yet :)  Still frustrated with the new boards, so I'm rarely on here anymore Frown  Anyway, I hope that Meredith and I can try it for lunch when we go this fall our 2nd mother/daughter trip.  Yay!

I know, M'Shel - I still have trouble logging in, takes several tries :( . Working on putting together a Photopass Photobook using my Disney Reward Dollars since I got some cute family pictures. Having difficulty finding the time to do that before my pics expire! But would like to do a proper report soon after. Here's hoping.... LOL So excited that you and Meredith are planning a 2nd girls trip! Good for you!!!

Great tip about the West Wing Val, we would not want to eat there reform the sound of things! All in all it sounds like a good experience but too bad they wouldn't sit you with your cousin.

M'Shel, very cool about your 2nd mother/daughter trip! I love the idea of that!

I have an awful time signing in still, too, so I don't get to the board very often anymore.   Bummer.  :(

Val, I'd LOVE to get in to see BOG.  The line is still so long at lunch time that I haven't dared.  Maybe in another year or so.  :)   Odd that they'd make such a "scary" room to sit in and eat!
