We are going to Orlando with my inlaws for a week in March. DS is 2.5 and DD will be 13 months. We are planning on taking thing pretty easy, we'd like to relax some this vacation. Anyone gone with very little ones. Will my DS be able to do most of the things in fantasy land? Should we think about going to seaworld or AK? Is it worth it at this age? It looked like both kids will be free, is that right?
Any advice you have for making the trip with little ones easier would be much appreciated.
Also does anyone have experience with food allergies? My son is allergic to a lot of foods, so we will most likely just bring our own food, but I wasn't sure if anyone has experience with this problem and if you know of a good place to get food for him (fresh fruit, grilled, plain meat.) It's unlikely, but I thought I'd ask.
TIA for you help,
Cindy

I honestly would say 2 days at MK if you are looking to go at a slower pace and spend 2 days somewhere. I have never done SW so I can't give you any info on that. At MK the only thing your kids can't ride on are any of the mountains and goofys barnstormer. Otherwise every thing else is small child/baby friendly.
As far as food allergies...Disney is very accomodating when it comes to "special diet needs". Did you look on allearsnet to see what info they have? I think I remember seeing a link for information.

My DS#2 is allergic to milk and I have to say that Disney is very accomodating. I am not sure what to do about counter service meals, but we were able to speak to the chef at all table service meals. If you happen to eat at a buffet, I found that the easiest thing to do is to acutally go through the buffet with the chef so that you can point out things that you know your DS will eat and the chef can tell you if it is "safe" for him. They can probably prepare something to suit his needs if nothing is available. Just make sure to let the person making the reservation know when you call, when you check in, and tell your server. I am sure they can work with you at counter service places too. We were able to get an ice cream alternative at our resort and we stayed at Pop Century.
I agree with Sarah about taking 2 days at MK, especially if you want to take it at a slower pace. Disney World is very kid/baby friendly. Make sure you bring your own stroller, the rentals are hard plastic and don't recline. My boys were 4 and 2 when we went and we spend most of the time at MK and still didn't do everything there. There is just so much for them to see and do there! You can ride the water taxi or monorail too just for the fun of it :)
I went to SW on my honeymoon 8 years ago, pre-kids, lol. I remember it being a lot of shows which means a lot of sitting while you wait to watch. There are other things, I am sure, but the shows stick out in my mind. IMHO, I'd wait til the kids were older to do SW unless it is something YOU really want to do, lol. Maybe some others will jump in with experience with small kids at SW.
Have a great time!

I'll start by saying that I LOVE Sea World. We've been to Sea World Orlando and to Sea World San Antonio. If either were closer, we'd have season/annual passes.
Sea World is NOT for kids your ages. It's mostly shows with some rides not even intended for young'uns. The shows wouldn't be ideal for them either since they can be lengthy, you have to wait a while for them to get good seats and it's just not a good idea for little ones. There are aquatic life tanks which are REALLY cool, but you'd be much better off for your money to visit Living Seas at Epcot (where they can do a bit more through the park...and you can enjoy more too) or a good aquarium at this age.
We didn't take Aly to AK until she was almost 4, so I don't really want to make suggestions there. I will say that we only visited it for half a day when she was almost 4.
I liked the suggestion of MK for 2 days and my only other suggestion would be one day MK, one day Epcot...OR even better but more costly, park hoppers and do MK AND Epcot 2 days (do both parks each day).
I also agree that there is sooooo much they CAN do at MK. I think one other attraction not mentioned that they can't do would be Stitch's Great Escape in Tomorrowland.
