Okay, our trip is finally getting close(er) and I'm so excited. I do have a shoe issue though and I'm hoping someone can help.

Let me start by saying I hate for my feet to be hot...some heat I can handle but I don't like "oven hot" so the thought of socks/shoes doesn't do much for me.

Hey Shelby. :)

Are your water shoes broken in? You might try wearing them a bit more. I would also strongly suggest walking with your family. It will help get you all ready for your trip. This will help break your shoes in.

I did the flip flop thing last year. I wouldn't suggest it. I switched over to a pair of adidas that had the clima cool design and they are wonderful. I understand what you mean about the feet. I hate it when my feet are hot. However, you have to have good support. I would suggest walking more with those shoes on your family walks. Good luck.

I have slightly high arches and need good support. I have walked miles and miles in my Teva sport sandals. I love them. And I can *run* in them when necessary, too, which I can't do in flip flops. The croc flip flops look comfy.

I don't have crocs, but so many people swear by them. I think they look kind of goofy, but maybe it's just the colors -- I saw a woman who had a tan pair, and they were much less noticeable. Of course, who cares about looks, it's comfort that matters, and what better place to look "Goofy" than WDW? :-)

My sneakers are surprisingly cool. They are actually running shoes, and much of the shoes are made of a very holey mesh, so air flows through them pretty well. I have been surprised at how hot my feet don't get when I'm out walking in the heat. I wear them with a very thin, CoolMax type sock. I will bring the running shoes and the Teva's for our WDW trip in July. And my Speedo flip flops for the pool.

These threads make me so tempted to get a pair of Crocs, but I have to resist! I need so much other new stuff (since we're cruising after our park stay -- gotta have new stuff for the ship!) that my husband will kill me if I come home w/ more shoes!

I have the croc flip-flops and I absolutely adore them!!

I also have the regular crocs and they are super comfy too (although I did have some issues at first with the knob where the strap attaches, but that stopped once I'd worn them in a bit)I do find the regular crocs make my feet sweaty if it's very hot and humid though, which is why I switched to the flip flops.

Your new tennis type shoes may be OK with a bit more wearing though, I usually find that with new shoes it takes time to get them just right.

I agree, they may be okay but I'd like to have an alternate plan, "just in case"! I plan on letting my poor blisters heal and then do my walking in them.

~Those are the ones I like as well! So, have you worn yours to WDW or something like WDW? (ie: walking all day/on your feet etc.) How did your feet do?! TIA!

I wore them all day to our zoo. There is no getting feet wet there but it is TONS of up hill walking. I felt better at the end of the day than I did when I wear Tennies. I am taking mine to Disney
