Okay, our trip is finally getting close(er) and I'm so excited. I do have a shoe issue though and I'm hoping someone can help.
Let me start by saying I hate for my feet to be hot...some heat I can handle but I don't like "oven hot" so the thought of socks/shoes doesn't do much for me.

Hey Shelby...
I tried on the Payless knock-offs of the Crocs flip flops and they are very comfy!! I was tempted to buy them, but alas...I've bought enough summer shoes this season already!
I hope your LE shoes get broken in! Matthew has been wearing his off and on and so far so good!

We went to Disneyworld in Feb. and I ended up with bursitis in my left foot all from wearing (good) sandles. DH was soooo mad at me. He told me when I wore the sandals that I should NOT wear them (he owns a shoe store and knows his shoes!). He said to wear the good sneakers (walking shoes). Of course I ignored him and am just now getting back to running again. I never had any foot problems before that trip.
Have a great trip!

Hi there..I can't say much on the Croc shoes since I do not own them. (yet!)lol.
We were at Disney World 2 weeks ago and I was lucky enough to escape any blisters-I lost 4lb from all the walking, so if that gives you any idea how much walking we did :)! I am also one to hate for my feet to get hot....I switched between my Asics running shoes(very lightweight and breathe really well), my Teva "MUSH" flip-flops, and also my Merrell sandals. (not flip flops) You can find Merrells just about everywhere (department stores, but haven't checked Finish Line etc.) Pricey but worth it. I started wearing my first pair of Merrells when I was pregnant w/my 2nd..hooked ever since. I can't remember what style mine are called but check them out on ebay or shoebuy.com.(free shipping/no tax/free returns) Fast shipping too, since it looks like you will be leaving very soon. The Teva "mush" sandals are SO extremely cushy...feels like you are on a pillow. I think it may have helped that I was switching between shoes. My 5yo DD wore her Lands End Beach Trekkers the first full day, and she had a blister just beginning to form by the next morning. We protected it and she ended up wearing her flip flops as well(Teva Mush for her also). Her Lands End Trekkers had been broken in, so who knows if that would help on a Disney trip-there is just SO much walking.
HTH!
Have a wonderful time!!

On a related note, having just returned from WDW... be sure to bring two pairs of comfy shoes with you. The rain resulted in us getting drenched a few times and I ended up having to use a hair dryer to dry out my ASICs. I saw many people wearing the crocs clogs. I think that would work in cooler weather, but I'd be miserable in the heat in those shoes all day. I wore them on the the water rides though!
