Is 4th of July week TOO busy?

Hello! I just found this board. I've been reading posts and it's great to hear so many having so much fun! Here's my question:
Would it be TOO busy, hot, and crazy to go to WDW 4th of July week? My sister has a timeshare so we have a place to stay. She and I would go with her 2.5 yr old, and my 7 yr old and 5 month old. In your opinion, will we end up being miserable?? And, do you have any quick tips if we do go?
Our other options might be to go later in the summer, or in October, December, or March during the school year....but, my son would have to miss part of the 2nd grade! My DS and I went with friends last March. We had a blast, the weather was perfect and it was definitely not too busy.
We really, really want to go back. But, are trying to find the best time. Help, please :)
TIA, Sue

If I had a free timeshare and a reason to go to WDW, I'd brave July 4th week! Yes, it will be busy and hot....so you'll just have to arrange your schedule around that. Don't expect to do as much as you did in a less crowded time. Which is easier said than done with a 7 year old, huh? :)
I have to put my vote in for December though. We've taken the kids out of school every year, and it's been fine that way for us (the teachers don't mind).....but I think December at WDW is the neatest time of year (I've been in March, June, November, and early August). I hear October is also very good, with the Halloween party and all.
Have fun no matter what you decide!

I also vote for not going on 4th of July. We took our 7 mth old and 2 1/2 year old one year and it was way too crowded and too hot. We live in Florida too so we are pretty much use to all the heat.
