I'm almost afraid to post this as I'm sure I'm going to jinx myself but I'm going to give it a whirl LOL We have been EXTREMELY lucky in our last 3 trips to not have had any major rain to contend with.

And the 87¢ ones are usually found in the sporting goods department.

Thanks, guys! Sonya, you reminded me about the foldable jacket-thingie. Alan and I each have one of those and I actually brought them last trip - totally would've forgotten to pack them if you hadn't mentioned them! I'm surprised to hear that you were able to buy adult jackets, albeit light-weight ones, at Disney or in the Contemporary for only $20! I just assumed that any type of clothing you buy there is over-priced. I almost bought "foldable" (like you described) rain jackets from Disneyshopping - they were even on sale and I had a discount code too - silly me!

I was in sticker shock when I saw the price too. The jacket that I was looking at right next to it, that was very similar except it was a pullover instead of a zip up was $40! It was the same colors, material, everything. When they rang up at the $20 price on the tag I figured they were on sale, being clearanced out or something. But that was Sept of 2004 when I bought them at the Contemporary, and then I saw them Dec 2005 at the sports store on Main Street. I checked the price there and they were still $20.

Our first two trips not a drop of rain, but we did carry around the $.99 rain poncho from Target. Third trip downpour of rain in the middle of the park and the very thin lightweight ponchos only did their job for a short time. So we forked out the money for the clear Mickey ones. I forget how much they were($4-6 maybe?) but we used them a couple of times that trip and then again on this last trip. They have held up great and we keep them folded in the bottom of the stroller. Many wishes for good weather for you! Kelly

I wonder if they're the ones that are being sold on Disneyshopping? They weren't that expensive on there either.

Hi Val! Would you let me know what you think of the rain gear you bought? I am addicted to stuff on that site. I bought Isabella the princess set for $29.99. I also took advantage of the Princess Tink discounts they had this weekend and bought everything an extra 30% off.

The rain gear they sell in the park is clear and has Mickey on the back.

See, I am ALL OVER disposable ponchos, since we fly. With 6 people in my family, I'm looking to take up the least amount of space possible in our suitcases. If I do not have to bring them back home, even better! :)

I bought 12 ponchos for about $10. We used them all this past trip, but that doesn't always happen. The folding jackets are a deal at $20 (!!!!), but that's still a lot of money to buy for my family. I'd end up carrying them also, I just know it. But I might look into them for around here. Very cool!

Here's hoping for no rain, so you don't have to worry about this anyway!

LOL Natalie, I totally hear you about being addicted to stuff at Disneyshopping! I keep getting these discount codes too - just reeling me in to buy some more! :D But I absolutely refuse to pay full price for anything there - it's got to be on sale, otherwise I pass it up! ;)

I will totally report on what these jackets look like as soon as they show up (which I'm hoping will be no later than Friday! LOL)
