AK Safari ride: How bumpy is it?

I'm 5 months pregnant and want to do the Kilmanjaro Safari at the Animal Kingdom. Is it okay to do when you are pregnant? How bouncy/bumpy is it?

I can't remember if there are warning signs on this ride but I think there are for Pregnant people but I don't think it is any bumpier or maybe a bit more then a dirt road. There are only 2 parts I can think of that can be rough and one of them is when they go over the bridge and the bridge gets wobbly and the other is when they drive through the water. They are both short. I would think that the best place, less bumpy seat would be up front vs the back of the bus.

Anita, I rode that ride when I was 7 months pregnant and had no problems. Yes, it was bumpy, but not outrageously so. Of course everybody has different tolerances, but I was ok.

I just rode this and I think you'll be perfectly fine. The wobbly bridge part just kind of throws you off kilter for a few seconds. My two year old sat on the seat without me holding onto her for the whole ride and she was okay.

It was really hot in the parks last week and I imagine it will only get hotter so plan accordingly. They sell those spray bottle/fans in the parks for $17, so if you find one at home before you leave definitely buy it!

Have fun,

I rode this was I was around 5 months pg with ds. We asked a cm why the warning, and he said because it was quite bumpy. He suggested if I wanted to ride to sit in the front. I honestly didn't think it was that bumby and had no problems with it. Have fun!-Dana

I rode it pg too! It was fine. I also rode test track. If you are having a normal pregnancy without complications I would be comfortable riding.

it's bumpy but no more than jumping up and down a few times or taking your car over speedbumps.

FYI, I found the mister fam bottles at WalMart last year for $5, and a co worker just brought one on a feild trip last week and said she just bought it. We LOVED having it at WDW last year, and you can fill them for free with ice at any of the kiosks if you just ask. And of course water in the water fountains. what I liked best was that you had a choice, just misting water, just fan or a misting water fan.
