I have been hearing/reading mixed reviews about Animal Kingdom. About how people have gone there and not
really seen any animals and that there isn't a lot of stuff for younger kids to do. I have a 15,11,7 and 5 year old and I am wondering if we should even bother checking it out.

First, animal Kingdom is 'Nahtazu'. So anyone going to it and expecting it to be a zoo would be sadly dissapointed. It is also not a thrill park or a show park so those with that expectation would also be dissapointed. I think Animal Kingdom is really misunderstood,

Sonya,

Could you explain further on the Kidcot at Animal Kingdom? We've done EPCOT (and probably will again) but haven't heard of Animal Kingdom until you mentioned it.

Thanks!

Wow. thanks for all the advice/tips. It sounds like something my family would like (actually it sounds like something I would like!)

We will definitely check it out if even for 1/2 day. Thanks again!

I agree with Sonya. Dh and I LOVE Animal Kingdom. We first went in 2001 and fell in love, lol. We just LOVED the Kilimanjaro Safari and Kali River Rapids. We can't wait to try

It's tough to be a bug is great!

Dinosaur is great!

Safari is great!

Jungle parade is great!

Petting zoo was a lot of fun too. Plus there were handelers with owls, snakes, ect. My 5 year old loved this park and I love it too.

I personally would skip MGM if I skipped any park, not AK.

The Animal Kingdom Kid cot stations are great! They're not like the Epcot ones where you get a mask or a necklace and mostly sit and color hoping to talk to the Cast Members. (We've got a mask from each trip and the necklace from our last one so I'm not bashing it)
