Probably a dumb question, but do you take a camera to the waterparks? I'm a scrapbooking addict, and I can't imagine not taking any pics, but I'm afraid of ruining the camera. Are the waterproof disposable ones ok for that? What do you do?

I have to say that my husband is a complete camera nut and he has never taken his camera to a waterpark he is very protective of it though.

I would have loved to have had some shots of DH and DD swimming with the sharks last year at TL though. If we'd taken a camera and left it in the locker I could have used it for that and put it back afterwards since I wasn't in the water.

I have seen pictures taken with those waterproof disposable cameras and they are not bad, it would probably be the safer option.

We've taken the waterproof disposables and they're pretty decent. I sent dd to camp this summer with one. You can get the pictures put on CD when you develop them also. My MIL has a 335mm film camera that's waterproof. She takes it everywhere, it's a big clunky thing from the 80s or 90s. I don't know how well the pictures are it's just a point & shoot, because she always forgets to develop them or show me when she has. But yes, while I'm rambling, the disposable waterproof ones are fine.

Thanks guys! I think we'll use a disposable one, assuming we get to the waterpark this trip, and I actually remember to get one. I took our regular 35mm to the pool on our 2004 trip (thank goodness it was not my new digital, lol) and when Isaac slipped and went under the water, the camera went swimming too because I had it around my neck and didn't think about it. My track record isn't too great!
