Meredith and I leave tomorrow.  It's been 2 years since we've been to the World.  What new things do we need to see/do?  We are hoping that there will be a soft opening for New Fantasyland.  Definitely want to check out Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom!

Anything we must see/do at the Polynesian?  Not sure that we'll spend much time there, but we may go back for a nap one day.

2 years?  Wow I didn't realize it had been that long.

I don't have any tips - except take notes so you can tell us all about it when you get back.  (hint, hint Sealed)   I am excited for you, and truly hope you two have a wonderful mother/daughter time!!

Thanks Deb!  That reminded me to take a little notebook and pen.  Don't think that we'll want to lug Meredith's iPad everywhere.  Nothing like pen and paper anyway lol!

I am really excited now.  I can't believe that I'll be doing online check-in for the airline in a few hours!  I am determined to pack everything in 2 carry-on suitcases.  So glad that I didn't pack yesterday because it now looks like it's going to be quite a bit warmer than I had seen.  Ken had wanted me to drive and park at the airport saying it would be cheaper than him taking and picking us up.  But I called my dad yesterday, and he's going to take us, and then Ken will have to pick us up Sunday evening.  I really wanted the luxury of not having to park and take that shuttle LOL!

Thank Goodness for Dads, lol!!!! Mine always takes us kids and our families to the airport and it makes life so much easier!

Hmmm, new things to see...of course Fantasyland, if you get in... But, even if you don't the the Storybook Circus section has fun theming to look at too!  I know Merideth is a little on the old side for the stuff there but I always feel like WDW brings out the little kid in us all.

In Epcot, has she done the Great Piggy Bank Adventure in Inoventions???  It is so cute and so fun, and educational too!  The concepts totally were lost on my kids (they just thought the pig was cute) but Merideth would be the perfect age to 'get' it.

And as for the resort, I havent stayed there since I was 7 so I think I'll just wait to read about what you saw and liked!!!  I would love to stay there again sometime!!!!

Have a wonderful trip!!!!

Oh and have you guys done the new queue at Haunted Mansion? It is does make the line a little longer but is pretty fun!  They added a bunch of stuff that I think would be cool to someone as old as Merideth.

I had forgotten about the Haunted Mansion queue and Storybook Circus.  I have to write these things down LOL!  And we did the Piggy Bank adventure before, I believe, but she loves Innoventions, so I am sure we'll do it.  I imagine that she'll drag me thru the recycle thing again Smile  Hmmmm.  I may need to bring her iPad after all lol!

I wish I could help you, but we got to see so little of the resort Frown  Probably shouldn't have spent the money for such a short trip, but I'm still glad that I did Smile  I wish that we had watched Wishes from the beach area.  We got back one night and hadn't eaten, so we were grabbing some dinner and heard it, but we were so hungry that we couldn't jump up and go out to see it lol!  Also wish that we'd seen the water pageant, but we were dead tired.  Plus, I'm thinking it started at 9 pm, and we weren't back to the resort by then.

It would have been nice to sit around the lobby and enjoy the scenery.  I also would have liked to walk around the resort at a leisurely pace to check out everything, but again, with a 3 night trip, that wasn't feasible.  I would definitely NOT recommend taking the boat launch from the MK back to the resort.  We did that one afternoon around 5 because the resort monorail was packed.  We would have been much better off waiting in that long line because you can get tons of people on the monorail, but less than 40 on the boat, so it took us an hour to get back!
