We're thinking about heading down next weekend (Friday night through Tuesday), but I wasn't sure how crowds would be.

Hey Hilarie - I've never been during that time so no BTDT advice from this end. Just wanted to comment as I've been a bit MIA on here lately - did you move and I missed it? I know you were looking to move but didn't know that you had already!

Hmmmm, just checked touring plans.com and it has the 22nd listed as a 9/10 but the other days are 3 or 4. I think their calendar is free for the current month but I do subscribe so may be wrong. We were there on a bunch of 3 and 4 days and they were not too bad. I think everyday but Saturday would be great!

Val, yes, we moved to Jacksonville around Labor day. We just closed on our house and moved in this past week. Woohoo! We were waiting until we closed to get new driver's licenses (so we didn't have to change the address later), so we'll do that tomorrow and then fulfill Disney's Florida Resident requirements.

Melissa, thanks for the info. It's actually free after 30 days (so we can only see Nov 15th and farther). You can only see the next 30 days if you subscribe.

Megan has a friend's Halloween party on the 22nd, so maybe we'll skip that and go down on Saturday night and miss the busier day. We'll see. I'd rather go for 4 full days, rather than only 3. :(

We were there last year at that time (Oct 19-26) and it was beautiful! It was still HOT during the day, more comfortable at night and very little rain (Big change from our usual August trips!). The Halloween party was amazing! You may have problems finding dining at the more popular places, but you will still be able to have amazing food. Epcot was a bit busier than normal, but we tour smartly (We use Tour Guide Mike, and have also used a FREE site - easywdw.com Have fun!!

I think we're not going this weekend after all. :( We are so NOT settled in the new home, and taking off for 4 days that we could be unpacking/organizing seems wrong right now. Too bad, but we'll get there soon. :)

It's so tough getting unpacked and settled.

Aw, I'm sure you'll be there before you know it.
