Anyone done Food & Wine Festival?

I may have asked this question before, but I can't find it on the board if I did.  I am trying to plan a long weekend for Meredith and I to fly down.  We had originally planned to come the weekend that Buddy Valastro (Cake Boss) was coming, but then we bought tickets for his holiday tour on 12/12, so we really don't need to see him twice.  So now I'm thinking we'll skip the celebrity chefs.  We may do the chocolate thing or one of the cheese things.

Any recommendations?  She is 12, and very much a foodie :smileyhappy:  I am also trying to figure out which hotel.  I'd like to splurge and stay at a deluxe since it will only be 2 or 3 nights.  Plus, I have points on my Disney Visa that I can use to pay for our room.  I love Beach Club, but we've stayed there before, and I wanted to do something "new".  I thought GF or Poly wouldn't be too bad because we can take the Epcot monorail over even though it's about a 20 minute ride.  I figure that we'll go to Epcot every day we're there, but I have to check out the new additions to Fantasyland!  MK isn't her favorite park, so I don't see us spending a lot of time there.  Will most likely skip AK, but will probably do DHS too because we love the streetmosphere there.

LOL I was going to add about the 'Ohana breakfast - my girls still request that one! The food and the characters make it a must-do!

Oh, M'Shel, I'm soooo jealous! Food & Wine sounds amazing!!  Alan and I keep teasing the kids that we're just going to pick up and leave them home so we can do F&W right! :smileyvery-happy:  I've heard such great things about all the food kiosks.  I know you listen to Lou Mongello so I'm sure you know he's had live podcasts and reviews from past F&W for tips.

I'm particular to the Beach Club b/c you can just walk over to Epcot but I understand that you're wanting to try something new.  Poly, GF any of them sound great!

{I know I wasn't any help at all!! LOL}
