Anyone else disappointed with Narnia?

We got back from WDW a couple of weeks ago. Of course, it was fantastic as usual, but our entire group was thouroughly disappointed with Journey Into Narnia at Disney MGM. And to clarify, all of us are huge CS Lewis fans and fans of the movie. I felt like it was a complete waste of time, and I NEVER feel that way about anything at WDW, so I was shocked. Anyway, just wanted to see if it was just us, or if others felt the same way?

Everyone I've ever talked to about it feels the same. It's like you get the preshow without the show. You get all hyped up outside waiting, you come in and go through that glourious wadrobe door into a holding area, see the short movie, see the White Witch, then the back opens up and you think "here we go".......which is immediatly followed by "WTH? did I miss a turn? why are we exiting? where's the attraction? Did I seriously just wait 20 minutes to watch the same 5 minute sequence I have on my DVD?"
Better head next door and visit One Mans Dream to get you back in the magic mood. It's not an amazing attraction but it captures the escence of Disney and you can't help feeling awed and humbled.

OMG, Sonya, you just summed up our experience EXACTLY! We thought it would be closer to the Muppets show, or Mickey's philharmagic, or something like that. I'm so glad to hear it wasn't just us. I also really disliked that you had to stand the whole time. My poor dad was miserable. He's normally in a wheelchair, but they told him that they only have space for 2 wheelchairs per show, and we'd have to wait for the next one, but there was harly anyone else in line, so he decided to stand because he's ok to stand for a bit. BIG mistake!

We thought it was WAY stupid. Most definitely a waste of our time. We all walked out saying, "That was IT????"

Sonya, you really did capture the whole experience! LOL We felt the same way. Plus when we decided to see it, we saw there was hardly any line so we hopped on and just missed being let inside. So we had to stand outside and watch the making of the movie (which I'm sure is on my DVD) before we got inside.
