Besides knowing it will be crowded, has anyone gone over Christmas/New Year?

I personally have not been during that time, but good friends of ours did about 7 years ago. They said it was beautifully decorated, but CROWDED and COLD. They were fully expecting it to be cool, but it was downright frigid. They've been several times at several differnt times of the year. Christmas week was their LEAST favorite.

No, but I'd love to see the Christmas decorations and events, just once!

We went in December, but not the week of Christmas or the week of New Year's. It really is beautifully decorated, and they have even MORE stuff to do (Candlelight processional, Mickey's Christmas Party, gingerbread house at the GF, etc.) but it was REALLY cold, and we found that if we wanted to do the special Christmas stuff, we were going to have to miss some other stuff, and that's a tough call. Personally, my favorite time of year to go is September - most kids have just started school and their parents don't want to pull them out that early in the year for a vacation; the parks aren't crowded at all; and the weather is still gorgeous!
