Applying discount codes to reservation

Hi everyone. Not sure anyone can answer my question, but I just saw that there are some discount codes for stay in august and september. I'm confused by what they actually mean and if they might apply to me. There are 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids) staying for 7 nights in august. We are currently at the AS Music family suites. Are any of the discount codes for accomadations for 5 people? Could I just call the WDW number and tell them to open my reservation and see if any codes apply? How do I go about that?

Everything is paid for and we arrive August 14th, so not sure if it is too late to change anything. I also got a package with tickets and dining.

Help? I'm thinking I just need to call.
Thanks.

I just called last week and applied a room only discount to that part of my booking. I already had the free dining plan with my package and knew I wouldn't get a better deal than that.

Call WDW and have the booking codes with you, then just ask if it's possible to apply it to your package. They will check and say yes or no.

The spaces available to be used by the codes are limited though, I couldn't for instance get the lower price at Caribbean Beach and so we switched to Coronado Springs for our first 2 nights.

I am thinking that with 5 of you in your party the chances are lower that you will bge able to apply it - but it never hurts to try.

Unfortunately the discount codes are not available on suites.

If you would like to call and see if there are rooms available with the code that would accomidate you that's a possibility. Port Orleans Riverside would in one room, you could do connecting rooms at a value or a cabin, or even a DVC.

Normally if a discount comes out you can call and have your rate adjusted as long as their are still rooms available.

its not too late to make a simple phone call and ask! I am pretty sure there are no codes for hte familiy suites, HOWEVER, it may save you tons if you switch to Port Orlens Riverside, or be about the same ot get a cabin at Ft Wilderness!!

It never hurts to ask. We are a family of 5 arriving Aug 15-21 and I had already paid in full when I applied the code and not only was I able to upgrade my room, they credited my card back with just over $175. They told me it could take up to 2 billing cycles to see hte credit, but it only took them 4 days!

I'd just call CRO and "Update an existing reservation" and just see what, if anythign is available!! Best of luck!

Well I called last night and learned a few things.

1. The discount does not apply to the ASmusic suite. That I knew. So my question was would it apply to anything else that may work for us.

2. We could move to PO Riverside for something like $5-600 less. A big savings. But we would be going from a two bath two room setup to one bath with trundle bed. Not worth it with three kids (9, 6 and 5). I can't stand being on top of each other with all our stuff everywhere. I would also have to 'pay' a $50 fee since it was withing 45 days and I was going down in price.

3. The CM helping me was great and ran the numbers thru every single place that would house 5 people. The only other comparable option was the Yacht Club for about $450 more than the AS Suite. We really liked the thought of the fabulous pools and lovely grounds, but again we'd be on top of each other in one room.

Because this is our first trip I really don't know what our 'disney style' will be. Will we go all day and just want to crash when we come home? Will we want to relax at the resort? Will dh and I put the kids to bed and need some time to unwind? I really don't know. I also like the fact that the ASM suite has a kitchenette and we can grab our own breakfast or a quick stop at the food court. My kids need to eat when they get up. At YC I don't think there is a quick food court, and we'd really be pressed for space in the room for having quick meals I think.

Anyway, we are leaning towards staying with our original choice with the family suite this time around. We really don't know what to expect so anything would be great. We'll have a better idea of what we want or need after we do it once.

But I'm glad I called. It interested me to see that a Deluxe option was within reach!
Thanks for everyone's help.
