Backpack question....
| Thu, 06-01-2006 - 12:10pm |
I'm trying to decide which type of bag to carry through the parks with us. I originally thought I'd do just a fanny pack but the more I get into planning the more stuff (rain ponchos, sunblock, etc) I see us needing to have with us so I'm thinking a smaller backpack will work better. But my question is...do you get to carry the bag on the rides with you or do you have to put them off to the side? Or should I just keep that stuff in the car and carry the little fanny pack?

You can carry the backpack with you on almost any ride. I think the only ride that you can't would be Rock'n Roller Coaster because it flips (they offer lockers at that ride).

I would vote for a backpack, but if you find you don't want to carry it with you all day take a fanny pack also and rent a locker for your backpack once you are in the park.
Don't leave stuff you may need during the day in your car - it's a HUGE hike to get back to your car from the park and you will not want to be doing that everytime you need something from your backpack!

That's a great idea for breezing through the security check. We did put things in bags, but I never thought to hold it!

I agree with the idea of the gallon size zip locks and handing one to each family member!!!! My teens usually go thru the "no bag" line and me and dh end up with the 4 y/o, stroller and all the bags!! I'm going to use that idea!!! Thanks!
