Best way to book ???

HI,
We are planning our first trip to DW this November and I wanted to know which is the best way to book our vacation? Should I go to a travel agent or book it myself online? Thanks!

As for travel agents, you should get a Disney specialist and there are TAs out there that are FREE TO YOU!!! (You'd be surprised at how easy it is to find a GOOD one! ;o))
Otherwise, booking yourself, in the past, it was always better to book by PHONE rather than online. I don't know if that has changed recently, but you could always expect to be quoted $200 or more higher online than by phone.

I'm a Disney Authorized Travel Agent.
The biggest difference between you booking your trip and me booking
I certainly give my vote to book with a Disney Specialist! (Especially if this is a first vbisit to Disney). You'd be surprised all the things there is to know about planning a Disney vacation. I have found that many TA's know very little about the Disney experience, and while they will be able to do the basics for you they are of little help when it comes to planning, discounts and any tips or advice. It's hard to ask a TA questions when you don't even know what you should be asking. Although I hadn't used a Disney Specialist booking my first trip I truly wish I had!

I did find the info about MNSSHP on the Disney website, but I went to the calendar and clicked on every day that I would be in Disney to see what events there were and if any rides were scheduled to be shut down. I am not sure if it is anywhere else on the site but again, that would be the bonus to a Disney specialist. How do you know what to ask if you have no idea what to look for! Things such as ADR's, I would have had no idea how far in advance these need to be made without finding this site. Or the Bibbity, Bobbity Boutique, or all about the hidden Mickeys, and the pin trading......talking to someone that really knows all about Disney could only enlighten your vacation and make your planning much easier!

Chel - Are you looking for Disneyland or Walt Disney World? I know that you're going to Disneyland this time but if you're looking at the Disneyland website for information on MNSSHP and MVMCP that could be why you're coming up dry.
Hi,
Thank you for the info! The only other question I would have is....how do I know if they are truly a Disney Specialist??? When contacting the TA do I ask specifically for somebody with DW training so to speak???? Thanks!
Just ask "Are you a Disney Specialist? Did you graduate from the Disney College of Knowledge?"
