HI,

We are planning our first trip to DW this November and I wanted to know which is the best way to book our vacation? Should I go to a travel agent or book it myself online? Thanks!

Thanks I was looking at DisneyWorld stuff, I'd like to plan a late November early December 2007 so I was just playing around.

If you want to see the hours for December 2005, they are on the web, but I can't post a direct link because there's a direct link to "competing" message boards and it's against iVillage TOS for me to post it.

BUT, I can tell you how to get there: Go to my website: http://alygatordisney.tripod.com/index.html#ent and click on the link that says Park Hours. There are links on the bottom of THAT page that will give you last year's park hours.

And as far as finding out about special events, there's no better website (including the official one) than allearsnet.com You will find out about everything there (and by checking here, of course!).

I've always made my reservations myself because it was easy...and then I started learning about discount codes on mousesavers. I thought I was right on top of things calling the day after the codes came out to have the discount applied to my room...WRONG, there were no more discounted rooms available.

My trip last Feb. was the first time I went through a DSTA. I booked the rooms far in advance, so they were booked at full rack rates. Two times between the time I booked and my departure date I received e-mails from my TA. "Good News AAA rates came out and your total went down by $200".....2 months later "Good News, AP rates came out and your total went down by $350 more" Let me tell you - there is nothing like sitting down to open up your e-mails and finding out that someone ELSE was on the phone working on my behalf to save me money.

Any other vacation I feel like I can book myself, but I think I'll stick with DS TAs for the Disney trips!

HTH,
Mara
