Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm wondering what are the best accomodations for DW price wise. Is it actually cheaper to stay on the property? Or to stay at hotel off the property. Any advice is appreciated!!
Thanks!

We've always stayed on property because that's part of the magic for us.

We've done both. The only way I will stay off property is if we are doing other things as our major vacations like seaworld, universal, etc.

If Disney is our major part of vacation. We will stay on property.

It is definately part of the magic.

If you are looking strictly at black and white finances, I would say

Thanks for all of your responses!

Jennie,
We too are traveling from Ohio. Sounds like you have a great deal with the Condo, and the 5 day park hopper! Have fun!

You've already gotten some great info, just thought I'd give a personal experience.

I haven't read any of the other posts yet, so this may be redundant....

We've done Disney both ways. Our first few trips, we stayed off property. From then on, we've stayed on. We try to look for deals before we book. I think if budget is an issue, the value resorts are the way to go. People will say what they want about them, but we stayed at ASMo last year, and fell in love with the resort. It is SO DISNEY and so much fun! The rooms are not huge, but honestly, I didn't feel any more cramped than I did at POR the year before. The room is no smaller than a room at a Fairfield or one of those types of hotels. When we needed more space, we got a FW cabin one year. We loved the convenience of being able to cook some of our own meals, and we loved the peace and quiet of the campgrounds.

The service you get from a Disney resort is worth staying on property. The transportation system is totally worth it (again, people will say what they want about bus service, but we've never had a problem and would never consider renting a car anymore...we did that when we were "newbies" to Disney and it was such a big waste of money for us!)

Also, the perks you get when you stay on property (EMH) are worth it too.

For us, we'll never stay off property again *unless of course it is a deal too good to be true!*

Have fun planning!

Thanks to all of you for your responses! I really appreciate them! We decided to stay off site this time. We are only going to be at Disney for 3 days, so now we have to decide what park we aren't going to visit this time :(

Thanks again!
